Exfoliate your skin properly


Exfoliating removes all the dead skin cells that get accumulated, thus leaving your face fresh and clean. But it is important to do so in moderation – too much of exfoliation can prove to be harmful for your skin. Hence, you must choose the products wisely and use them only twice or so a week. If you are using a chemical exfoliator, rub a quarter-size of it on your face in circular motions. Do so for a full minute. After this, you have to wash off the exfoliator. Pat your face dry with a soft towel. If your exfoliator has granules, make sure your hairline doesn’t have any stuck in it. You can use an exfoliating face mask too.

Cleanse with the right products


Another way to get rid of all the impurities and make your skin glow is to cleanse properly. For this, you first need to know what your skin type is. According to that, you can choose your cleanser. You may have oily, dry, sensitive, combination, or normal skin. Before you start cleansing, wash your hands so as not to add more germs to the mix. Now, you can wash your face with lukewarm water and cleanser of your choice. Try not to scrub – only employ circular motions. Rinse your face properly after cleansing – pat your skin dry with a clean and soft towel. The last step is to moisturize your skin so as to seal the water in your skin.

Clean your makeup brushes


You use these brushes day in and day out to create those stunning looks. But if you don’t clean them regularly, they will gather dead skin cells and all sorts of germs and bacteria. They will, in turn, come in contact with your skin and cause acne and dull your skin’s glow. Clean brushes are able to apply makeup better, they last longer, and are more gentle on your skin too. You can make a makeup brush cleaner right at home – mix water with castile soap (unscented) and olive oil to remove makeup residue and grime.

Know how to moisturize


You can moisturize just after a bath and before going to bed. If your skin feels dry in the mornings, the latter will really help you out. Not tending to dry skin can give rise to acne and other skin problems in the future. A lot of times, moisturized skin can help you hide any blemishes too.

Though there are many different products out there, not all of them are good for your skin. Steer clear of products that have a heavy fragrance in them. Your moisturizer should be soft and gentle on your skin.


Apply sunscreen every day


It is not just on sunny days that you need to wear sunscreen. This product should be used every day, no matter the weather conditions. Keep reapplying it every two hours and do so liberally. Make sure you apply it to your face, as well as neck and arms too. Find a sunscreen that has UVA and UVB protection and is at least SPF 30. You can also use lip balms that have SPF in them.


Hydrate yourself


Eat a good amount of fruits and vegetables, drink water from time to time, and use nourishing products for cleansing and moisturizing. Go for items that have a water-based formula as opposed to an oil-based one. The presence of water in your skin will lead to it being more radiant and healthy too.
